The following list indicates some options for those interested in water sports while in Ireland. The information here has been arranged according to the province in which these activities take place.

Historically, Ireland has been divided into the four provinces of Connaught - Connacht, Leinster - Laighean, Munster - Mumhan and Ulster - Uladh. Connaught is located in the west of Ireland, Leinster in the east, Munster in the south and Ulster in the north.

Host to the European Surfing and Body-boarding championships on a number of occasions the waters which surround Ireland offer tremendous opportunity for enjoyment. The coasts off Mayo and Donegal are particularly famed and amongst the most popular destinations for surfers and sub-aqua divers.

  Cuan na Farraige provide sub-aqua diving and other adventure activities combined with informal instruction in the Irish language.

- UISCE, Cuan Eilí, Béal a Mhuirthead, Co.Mhaigh Eo
  UISCE run two types of courses specially which combine water sports and other adventure activities with informal instruction in the Irish language. These activities are targeted at Irish second level students.

  Leinster - Laighean
 
 
- Adventure Ireland, Ashfield College, Terenure, Dublin  
  This is a summer camp for 12-18 year olds. The itinerary for the summer program includes courses on the culture of Ireland, and also includes an adventure sports program which takes place in Ballyshanon, Donegal.
3 week course: 30th June - 20th July 2001
